WHY ME?!?! I got sent back down to the file room today at the firm. I'm like Icarus; every time I try to reach a little higher I get burned.Simday 4 (Age 25)
Jed's in pretty bad shape. I went over to that money pit of his, and it's pretty gross. His kitchen has no sink or even a real oven. There are dirty dishes everywhere, even on the floor, and it's gotten so bad that flies are swarming all over the place. The worst part is that Jed doesn't even seem to notice; he just walks around in his pajamas all day with this crazy helmet on his head (he says it's supposed to improve his mood; let's just hope it works!). Almost all of his food has spoiled, and he has no money to fix the situation.
I just can't believe it's gotten this bad. I mean, by now the rest of us are pretty set in our jobs, and our homes are fully furnished, to the point that we can now afford embellishments here and there. The other day I bought a doormat for the front entrance. But Jed can't do any of these things. I'm worried about him!

Last semester I also got to know Naomi from the girls' dorm pretty well. We're both type-A and considered ourselves pretty academic, so she could relate to the shame and guilt I felt about being held back. Now that we're all settled into our own houses, she invited me over and we spent the evening just hanging out, watching TV. It felt comfortable and familiar.Senior year, second semester
Nick and I have been hanging out a lot now that the rest of the guys are gone. He's shy, but a pretty cool guy when you get him in a one-on-one situation. This semester is pretty easy for both of us, so we can't wait to get out of here and rejoin everyone else.Senior year, first semester
Man, I'm really gonna miss these guys when they leave. But not as much as I bet Adam's gonna miss our cafeteria lady! He's always fanning himself around her. Hah hah hah!Junior year, second semester (repeat)
Oh money tree, now that I have a black mark on my transcript, how will I ever make my fortune?Junior year, second semester
I can't believe it. I can't tell Adam about this. I don't think I can tell anyone about this.I failed this semester. I don't really know how it happened. I thought I was doing fine, so I have no idea how my grades got totally out of control.
The worst things are that now I can't graduate with Adam, and I've fallen behind all the guys. I feel like such a failure.

Heheheh. I spotted some of the girls leaving the gym the other day. I tried sneaking up to the van to see if I could catch them in their bikinis or whatever, but it drove away before I could scare them. Ah, well. It was fun. Some of the guys looked surprised when I told them about the prank, and they asked me if Adam was at the gym with me (he wasn't). Weird question, right?Sophomore year, second semester
Snow's still on the ground outside. Adam and I love enjoying the fresh outdoor air. We invite the other guys to hang with us, but they're always looking away and muttering about being busy or something.Sophomore year, first semester
We never had snow where I'm from, so I stayed out all day and practically all night enjoying all the traditional winter activities!Freshman year, second semester
Adam and I have so much fun together! Even though we have kind of different backgrounds, we have a lot in common in terms of what we want to accomplish here at Sunrise Falls. We're both econ majors so we have all the same classes, plus our rooms are next to each other—it's a good thing we get along!Freshman year, first semester
I'm really excited about kicking ass in this new place. The guy with the room next to mine, Adam Bridgeport, is from seriously old money—like, Founding Fathers old. But he decided to leave all that behind come and be a "new" founder here at Sunrise Falls, and that's something I can respect.
